Women's Impact Initiative (WII)

AFP's Women's Impact Initiative is committed to advancing and engaging fundraisers who identify as female, and their allies, through mentorship, education, research, and community.

The Women’s Impact Initiative (WII) was launched in 2018 to assess, address, and highlight the specific issues and challenges that women in the fundraising profession face and to continuously create and distribute resources that help overcome gender inequity issues in the profession.

  • According to the latest AFP Compensation and Benefits Report, there is still a gender pay gap of 15% in the U.S. and 11% in Canada.
  • AFP's research with The Ohio State on sexual harassment found that 76% of fundraisers have experienced sexual harassment at some point in their careers.
