To Sign Up for a Diverse Community Forum

Go to the AFP website located at www.afpnet.org

Login as a member

To login, click on the Login button located on the top left hand side in the blue bar.

Enter your login name or ID: This is usually your eight digit AFP member ID, unless you have changed it. You must use leading zeroes.

Enter your password. This is usually your last name.

You know you are successfully logged in because the screen will change and say "welcome."

Click on the Discussions button in the green bar on the right of the page labeled Quicklinks.

Fill in your first name, last name and email address.

Scroll down and you will see a section labeled “Communities of Fundraising Professionals”

You have a choice on how you want to be communicated with. Either click on “As Posted” which will deliver the email messages to you at the time they are sent or click on “Daily Digest” which will send one email to you at night of all the postings that occurred during that day. Please be aware that some members receive the Daily Digest with a great deal of garbled text and Microsoft Word coding embedded. If you find this to be the case, please let us know if you would like to be switched to As Posted.

Then click on the Submit button on the very bottom of that screen.

Now get involved and start a discussion with your fellow colleagues. 

In your computer's email program, open a new email message window, and in the "To:" field, type the discussion group name, followed by @news.afpnet.org
