Don’t Miss the Stimulating Diversity Programs in New Orleans!
AFP’s 46th International Conference on Fundraising will feature original amateur and professional art and a new presenter for the popular workshop on diversity. This year, youth from diverse communities competed to showcase their art. The children’s artwork contest took place at the International School of Louisiana in New Orleans, and the first-, second- and third-place pieces will be on display during the 2009 conference.

“I think all fundraisers are wise to intentionally seek out opportunities to spend time traveling and learning from people of different backgrounds, cultures and viewpoints,” says Elaine Voci, an AFP member in Indianapolis who has lived and traveled abroad extensively. Hear more about how her travels have shaped her views toward diversity. “The more well-rounded you are, the easier it is to talk to people and establish rapport that, in turn, can foster a mutually fulfilling relationship,” she says.
