Robert E. Carter, CFRE, served as master of ceremonies at the AFP 2009 Awards for Philanthropy Banquet, sponsored by Bentz Whaley Flessner. Carter, currently vice chairman of Archimede Philanthropy Partners, previously spent 26 years with Ketchum. He serves as secretary on the AFP Executive Committee and also has chaired AFP’s Industry Partners Council.

The Chair’s Award is given to individuals for exceptional service to AFP, the fundraising profession and the philanthropic community. This is only the 12th time the award has been presented since its inception in 1982.
