This blog is for the use and benefit of AFP members who consider themselves a part of the AFP GLBT diverse community (GLBT fundraisers, funders, donors, agency staff, and other interested parties).
The purpose of this blog is to have a place where AFP GLBT diverse community members can meet to share ideas, insights, opinions and stories; provide information; gather resources; distribute invitations; and make connections. Only current AFP members are invited to participate in this GLBT community blog.
This is the first AFP diverse community blog. Other AFP diverse communities (African American, Asian, Faith-based, Hispanic, Jewish, and Rural) can create an AFP subsite, including a community blog, when they reach a minimum of 100 members. All AFP diverse communities currently have a ListServe for connection and communication among members. ListServes can be accessed by AFP members at http://www.afpnet.org/subscribe/index.cfm.
AFP diverse community subsites, blogs, listserves, and other community content are made possible by AFP member volunteers, with the assistance of the AFP Membership department. For more information about AFP diverse communities, the GLBT subsite, or the GLBT blog, please visit www.afpnet.org and click on the Diversity link in the About AFP section, or contact Lori Gusdorf at lgusdorf@afpnet.org.
