Awards Nominations Deadline THIS FRIDAY!

The deadline for submitting video nominations for AFP International's awards program, the National Philanthropy Day Honors, is FRIDAY, April 1. Anyone can submit a nomination within six categories: Philanthropist, Volunteer Fundraiser, Corporation, Foundation, and Youth (Individual and Group). Nominations must take the form of a short "selfie" video—a person talking to the camera about the impact the nominee has made, no longer than two to three minutes. Nominations can be submitted here online at the AFP website. You can find an FAQ here with more information about the program and how to submit nominations.

Report and Blog: The Impact of Political Giving on Charitable Giving

Blackbaud has released a new report about the impact of political campaigns on charitable giving, and AFP President and CEO Andrew Watt, FInstF, discusses in his latest blog the key finding that the 2012 elections did NOT have an impact on charitable giving for most donors.
