A New AFP Website Experience Is Coming in 2016!
It's all-systems-go for the long-awaited revitalization of the AFP website. The AFP Strategic Communications team has posted a new landing page at afpnet.org announcing the launch of an anticipated 12-month (phase one) project. This landing page also carries a call for volunteers to sit in advisory capacities on review committees for content, online communities, web policy, technology and user experience. To keep AFP audiences informed of project progress, the page features a timeline mapping out benchmarks. Members and friends can also opt-in to project updates that will be delivered monthly to their inboxes.

"The goal of our project is to build an outstanding website that reflects the breadth and depth of who we are and what we do at AFP," said Morgan Roth, vice president of strategic communication. "It needs to be a platform that engages members, volunteers and donors in our vision, while at the same time, providing for the Big Conversations happening in our sector."

None of that, according to Roth, can be achieved without significant participation and buy-in from the greater AFP community. "We're making this as inclusive and transparent a process as possible," she said. "In addition to recruiting members and volunteers for project advisory committees, we'll be circulating surveys, scheduling town hall calls, and giving members an option to submit ideas through the website. We want to make sure that at the end of the day, the technical and business requirements we identify as project priorities are accurate and truly reflect the way our community wants our website to function."

Questions or ideas regarding the project can be submitted from the landing page, or email websupport@afpnet.org directly.
