AFP Statement on President Obama's FY 2016 Budget

Bill Introduced To Make IRA Rollover Provision Permanent
On Wed., Feb. 4, 2015, the House Ways and Means Committee considered a number of bills that would enhance charitable contributions, including H.R. 637, a bill that would make the IRA Rollover provision permanent. AFP has heard that House Republicans are in favor of moving a package of bills that would make certain charitable provisions such as the IRA Rollover permanent (similar to H.R. 3806 that was introduced in the last Congress). Charitable Giving Coalition Letter to the President
The Charitable Giving Coalition, which AFP co-chairs, sent a letter to the White House about the impact of the FY 2016 budget and encouraging the President to move forward additional proposals that will encourage giving. Read the full letter here.
