2014 Mid-Year Fundraising Trends
This mid-year look at fundraising trends compares the first six months of giving in 2014 with the same six months in 2013. So far, overall giving in 2014 is up 1.6 percent, while online giving is up eight percent. If this trend continues, 2014 will trump 2013's fundraising numbers! See the full breakdown here! Ice Bucket Challenge Leads to 1,000% Spike in Donations to ALS Association
Unless you've been living under a rock lately it's likely that you've heard about—and maybe even participated in—the Ice Bucket Challenge. Some may scoff that it's not raising any money and instead just causing uproar. On the contrary, this fundraising phenomenon helped ALS raise $160,000 in a ten day period—up from $14,480 in this same time period last year. (HuffingtonPost)
