Giving Donors Data on a Charity's Impact Doesn't Always Lead to More Gifts
A recent experiment shows that providing data to donors doesn't necessarily encourage them to give again. Instead, donors who were motivated by "altruism giving" continue to give (data or not), while donors who likely gave emotionally are not encouraged to give again just by viewing the data.
