CFRE Announces Switch to Computer-Based Testing in 2006
(July 11, 2005) The CFRE International Board of Directors recently announced plans to switch to computer-based testing for all North American CFRE candidates beginning in 2006.
There will be several hundred testing sites in the U.S. and Canada where the CFRE test will be offered during specific testing windows beginning in April 2006. The preliminary plan, which is subject to change, is for the testing windows to last approximately three weeks. They will be spaced about six weeks apart with a break in the summer.
Those outside North America will continue to test with the paper-based system currently in place.
Applications and procedures documents for computer-based testing will be available in September on the CFRE International website.
Applicants still have the rest of 2005 to test under the current system. There are 17 exam dates scheduled between October and December 2005 using the current paper-based testing system.
