By now we all know that social media is not a fad and it's not going away. In fact, it reaches more people than any other medium. But how do we truly harness its power to support our cause? And in an efficient and effective way? We'll quickly explore why it's a game changer, dive into successfu (and failed) fundraising campiagns and finally understand how we can use these tools to engage more people and literally raise funds to support our work, all via social media.
Nathan Hand is a professional fundraiser and nonprofit blogger who enjoys connecting people with the cuases that need them. He currently serves as Director of Advancement at The Oaks Academy in Indianapolis. He serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations and presents regularly on a variety of topics including fundraising, social media, nonprofit marketing, leadership and more. Nathan has a Masters in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University, and Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University and did his undergraduate work at DePauw University.
