Morning Seminar: Building Donor Loyalty - Lessons From Around the World
In this session we will look at the practicalities of managing donor loyalty, examining how organizations focus their recruitment practices on donors likely to be more loyal and how they subsequently welcome and steward those relationships. We will look at key concepts such as communication and welcome cycles and explore how best to design communications that will genuinely add value in retention. Participants are encouraged to bring some of their own donor communications and/or newsletters to the session so that we can directly apply the content of workshop to add value for all participating nonprofits.
Luncheon Session: Building Donor Loyalty: Lessons From 20 Years of Research
Improving donor loyalty by as little as 10% can increase the lifetime value of a fundraising database by up to 200%. In this session we will explain how to achieve this increase, drawing on twenty years of academic research and the very best of professional practice. We’ll examine why people give, why they stop and the underlying factors that drive donor loyalty. We’ll also examine key loyalty metrics including the use of donor lifetime value.
