Make Your Email Program Work for You: Best Practices in Digital Cultivation & Fundraising Communications
What makes a good or bad subject line? How do you structure a compelling special offer or call-to-action? What graphics work best? What should I be doing to drive up engagement? What should I NOT be doing?
Learn how to navigate your organization’s communications calendar and shape your emails for effective cultivation and fundraising. This session will cover best practices and share case studies from organizations that have put their email communications to the test.
Leah Ibraheem, Senior Digital Services Manager at PS Digital will speak to best practices in digital cultivation, including case study results from AFP DC’s newsletter redesign. Karen Gallardo, Sr. Director of Gift Planning and Major Gifts at AARP Foundation will also share the global effects of AFP DC’s refreshed communications plan which included a new integrated format and ongoing analyses of metrics to more effectively reach and increase engagement with their members.
Great communications are the backdrop to successful fundraising campaigns. Moira Kavanagh Crosby, President and Founder of MKDM will bring her expertise in fundraising strategy to provide tips on drafting effective fundraising emails and best practices for how to effectively coordinate efforts between communications and fundraising.
