Jeff Stanger is an author and fundraising consultant with over 14 years in the nonprofit world. He has been a member of the faculty of The Fund Raising School at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University since 2009, where he teaches Using Social Media in Fundraising and Principles & Techniques of Fundraising.
Previously, he served as the Development Director for The Salvation Army in Indiana for 6 1/2 years. As a consultant to nonprofits, he specializes in online fundraising, social media, and grant writing. He is a graduate of Indiana University and is also an alumnus of The Fund Raising School. He is also a member of the faculty of the Community Solutions Program, an outreach of IREX in conjunction with U. S. Department of State and George Mason University.
In addition to consulting, he has spokent to a wide variety of nonprofit and small business organizations about social media and fundraising. Jeff has been a speaker at national conventions for a variety of nonprofit service fields as well. In the past, Jeff served on the board of Play Ball Indiana, and organization that provides baseball and softball opportunities for inner city youth. He is also an author of two novels and is currently working on a third. He also contributed to the Achieving Excellence in Fundraising, Third Edition.
