January Luncheon Event           

January's event will consist of a series of round table discussions. The topics will be as follows:

1. Social Media - We will look at which ones are receiving the most attention by which agegroups; what are best practices for reaching out to people through social media; how to deal with negative posts; as well as other items that the participants want to discuss.


2. Stewardship - We will look at what this really means. How do you care for the donor and the organization, especially if the donor's wishes conflict with the goals of the organization. We will also talk about different ethical dilemmas that could face a fund raiser and suggestions on how to handle these situations. 


3. Special Events - We will look at what goes into making a special event. What should the cost ratio be. Is it a fund raiser or a friend raiser. What is the difference? Also, discussion of different themes that have worked and not worked.


4. How to Make an Ask and Accept the Answer - We will discuss creative and basic ways to make the ask. Once you receive your answer, how do you respond? Different ways to handle the many different answers you might receive will be discussed.
