AFP MO, Mid-America Chapter: AFP Forum: How to Measure Fundraising Success - Accountability and MetricsAugust 20, 2014
Wednesday, August 20, 2014
7:30am - 9:00am
Holiday Inn on the Plaza
About the Program
Jay Maloney (AFP National Fundraiser of the Year in 2004) will address a question
increasingly being asked by nonprofit CEO’s –
How do we measure fundraising success? How do we hold fundraising staff accountable?
The session will include:
• How will the metrics contribute to our fundraising efforts?
• Am I counting the right things?
• The importance of leading indicators - the right activity
( i.e., number of appointments, number of proposals)
• To predict the lagging indicators – the right results( i.e., gifts received)
We will also explore a core strategic issue:
If we are counting the wrong things, we can do harm to the development program
(can stimulate wrong fundraising behavior or extinguish right fundraising behavior).
You won’t want to miss this session!
