The Principles of Fundraising Certificate Program
Join us for a high-caliber, basic skills program that offers five introductory-level, half-day workshops on fundraising theory and practice taught by members of AFP who are experts in their respective fields. All of the workshops are designed to help new and established nonprofit organizations raise money more effectively and efficiently.
Every workshop offers something for everyone interested in learning more about fundraising. These courses are perfect for novice to intermediate development personnel, executive directors, board members, volunteers, and others interested in learning more about fundraising.
DAY 5: INDIVIDUAL MAJOR GIFT FUNDRAISING

This course explains how to engage donors at a deeper level so that their annual giving reaches maximum financial capacity. It will provide development officers, staff, and board members of nonprofit organizations a framework for developing a successful individual major gifts program. Participants will learn how to lay the foundation of necessary attitudes, skills, insight, and knowledge.

All workshops will be held from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm at The University of Bridgeport's
Waterbury Campus located at 84 Progress Lane, Waterbury, CT 06705.
While you must attend all five workshops to obtain a certificate, you may sign up a different person from your organization to attend specific workshops. Those organizations wishing to send different personnel to each session, the participants will receive certificates for the workshops they completed and not for the entire program.
