AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada Funds New Research for the Profession

The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada is very pleased to share that with the generous support of AFP chapters and members we have raised the money to conduct fundraising research for the profession.
On Nov. 15, National Philanthropy Day®, Ipsos Reid launched a comprehensive study entitled, “What Canadian Donors Want.” This study will provide Canadian organizations with a report on attitudes and beliefs of Canadians with regards to making donations; their knowledge of the charities they support; fundraising, governance, and other key areas. The study will include questions that address why individuals give, the perceived impact of their gifts, attitudes about fundraising practices, and governance and expectations for the charities they support.
The survey results will be completed in early 2012 and made available to the fundraising profession on the AFP Canada Foundation website.
