Campbell & Company, AFP Foundation Continue Awards Partnership
April 10, 2006
(April 10, 2006) The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new five-year agreement with Campbell & Company to continue the firm's sponsorship of the Awards for Excellence in Fundraising.
For the last 10 years, Campbell & Company has supported the awards, which are given to charitable organizations for outstanding and innovative campaigns and fundraising initiatives. An award is given annually in each of two categories based on organizational size, one for a fundraising department of five or fewer employees and a second in a fundraising department of more than five individuals.
Winners receive a $1,000 prize and are honored during the annual AFP International Conference on Fundraising. Honorees are also featured in stories in AFP publications throughout the year.
“Philanthropy has the power to transform organizations, especially when their fundraising programs engage their constituents in creative and meaningful ways,” said Edith Falk, CFRE, president and CEO of Campbell & Company. “Our firm is proud to join with AFP in recognizing and celebrating those organizations whose fund raising programs demonstrate the goals of the Awards for Excellence: innovation, creativity and excellence in advancing their organizations’ mission.”
Campbell & Company is a U.S.-based firm offering counsel in advancement planning, fundraising, marketing communications and executive search throughout the country. The new agreement will continue the firm's sponsorship of the award through 2010.
“We’re so pleased to be able to partner with Campbell & Company in identifying fundraising campaigns and ideas that can serve as models for other charities,” said Curtis Deane, CFRE, CAE, president of AFP Foundation for Philanthropy. “One of the important ways the foundation works to advance effective fundraising is through the recognition of best practices, and this award is a critical vehicle for such recognition. We sincerely appreciate the support of Campbell & Company.”
