CRA Introduces Enhancements to Website
(Jan. 30, 2006) The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has completed the first part of a two-phase project to improve its website, including improvements to the online listings of charities.
Website visitors will now be able to choose from four options:
- Canadian registered charities
- Newly registered charities
- Recently revoked charities
- Recent annulments
In addition to a more robust charity search engine, the website will also feature a dynamic download feature, allowing users to download data on specific organizations as opposed to having to download the entire charities listing. The CRA has indicated it will be updating the listings and features on a daily basis.
The second phase of the website improvement project will take place in spring or summer of 2006.
