California Approves Nonprofit Integrity Act
Gov. Arnold Scharzenegger approved the California Nonprofit Integrity Act on September 29, 2004, chartered into law the next day by the Secretary of State.
The law takes effect on Jan. 1, 2004 and outlines which charitable organizations are subject to and exempt from the law. The attached fact sheet, compiled by AFP, features the highlights of the law and provides guidance for your charitable organization in complying with the law.
