North Park University Offers Tuition Discount to AFP Members
July 1, 2013
AFP and North Park University in Chicago, Ill., have partnered in a pilot project to offer AFP members a 40 percent discount on the cost of tuition for graduate programs offered through North Park’s School of Business and Nonprofit Management (SBNM).
AFP Active members may pursue any graduate program in the SBNM, including a Master of Nonprofit Administration, a Master of Higher Education Administration, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Management, as well as graduate certificates in such areas as fundraising management, nonprofit management, higher education administration, nonprofit governance and nonprofit finance. The discount applies to tuition only (not books, materials or other fees). For a complete listing of SBNM graduate degrees and certificates, please visit www.northpark.edu/sbnm.
AFP Active members who live outside Chicago may complete their SBNM graduate degree or certificate entirely online. Members who live in Chicagoland have the option of pursuing face-to-face courses at North Park’s historic campus on the northside of Chicago. AFP Active members may complete their graduate degree from the SBNM in just 21 months, or their graduate certificate in six months.
With nearly 250 North Park students from throughout the world pursuing graduate programs in nonprofit management, the SBNM provides students a rich educational experience. SBNM students also have access to the Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management, one of the nation’s leading academic centers for nonprofit management education, and work closely with faculty who possess both outstanding academic credentials and extensive professional experience within the nonprofit sector. In addition, graduates of any SBNM graduate degree program can take advantage of SBNM’s Lifetime Learning Program, which allows graduates to take additional SBNM graduate courses at a 50 percent discount for life.
SBNM graduate programs are fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education. In addition, the SBNM is a member of the Nonprofit Academic Careers Council (NACC), and all Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management programs follow the curricular guidelines prescribed by the NACC.
