NPD Website a Resounding Success

WASHINGTON (AFP eWire - Dec. 8, 2003) - More than 200,000 users visited the new National Philanthropy Day (NPD) website in November.
Unveiled a few weeks before National Philanthropy Day, celebrated every year on Nov. 15, the new site at www.nationalphilanthropyday.org received 207,056 unique visitors and 259,764 overall hits during November.
In addition, through a new web banner campaign, more than 50 companies and organizations had planned to place NPD banners on their websites. The new banner campaign and website were developed pro bono by SankyNet, the Internet division of Sanky Perlowin Associates, a New York-based fundraising and communications firm that has many long-time AFP members.'The NPD website was a resounding success thanks to the efforts by AFP member Harry Lynch and his team at SankyNet, including Carla Chadwick and Paul Habig,' said Joyce O'Brien, AFP senior director of public affairs. 'AFP gives a warm thank you to the company for its dedication in helping to promote National Philanthropy Day and call attention to charitable work all around the world.'
