Jacquelyn Ahrenberg, CFRE, is now the capital campaign development coordinator with the Native American Community Service Center in Phoenix, Ariz. She was formerly the director of development with the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project in Arizona.
Amy M. Bawcom is now gift officer at Scott and White Healthcare in Temple, Texas. Bawcom was previously manager of foundation relations there.
Lucille T. Boss is now development coordinator for Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics. She was formerly recreation coordinator for the City of Santa Barbara.
Sean D. Carter, CFRE, chief development officer at Rothko Chapel in Houston, Texas, has been named as one of Five Outstanding Young Texans by Texas Junior Chamber. He serves as vice president of the external relations for the Board of the Greater Houston Chapter of AFP.
Mario Dickerson has joined Valley Forge Educational Services in Paoli, Pa. as chief advancement officer. Dickerson joins VFES from Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB), where he served as major & planned gift officer.
Ira B. Cooperman, CFRE, is happy to announce that after a 37-year career in development, he has retired. He most recently served as executive director of the Jewish Community Federation of the Mohawk Valley (Utica, NY) and the Jewish Community Center of Utica. He wishes all his AFP colleagues every success.
James E. Giessler, CFRE, is now executive director of the Harvard Glee Club Foundation in Cambridge, Mass. He was formerly chief development officer for Prize4Life in Cambridge, Mass.
Cheryl Gurin Hebb is campaign director for Jewish Federation in Greater Vancouver. She was formerly director of fundraising for Vancouver Community at VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.
Lois D. Heesters, CFRE, has been named senior consultant at Farr Healey Consulting LLC based in Macungie, Pa. Heesters has enjoyed a 20 year career in fundraising, working with St. Francis Hospital, Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Council, Winterthur, and Penninsula United Methodist Homes.
Bob Hoagland has been named vice president, business development, at Baltimore-based Barton Cotton.
Arthur C.G. Hyland is now the director of development for clinical care and research at The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He was previously senior development officer for major and planned gifts at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
Diane Panasci James is now grants coordinator for Dallas LIFE homeless shelter in Dallas, Texas. She was formerly grants manager at the Arc of Dallas in Dallas, Texas.
Dennis Kelly, the former director of development of the Minnesota Medical Association Foundation (MMAF), in Minneapolis, was named chief executive officer in February.
Jane Kuechle will retire on Sept. 30 from her position as chief development officer for AtWork! in Bellevue, Wash. after a 27-year career in fundraising. Kuechle plans to open a consulting practice focusing on helping organizations that support adults with developmental disabilities launch their fundraising programs. Her new venture is called Kuechle Consulting.
Sally Lawrence is now development director of Girl Scout Council of Orange County in Irvine, Calif. She is currently president of the AFP Orange County Chapter.
Patricia "Patty" Lonsbary, CFRE, has recently changed positions from vice president of development and marketing at Sheffield Place in Kansas City, Mo. In August, she joined the Fundraising Services Team in the Private Fundraising Partnership of UNICEF in Geneva, Switzerland, as the major donor global fundraising specialist.
Jayne Adams Piehl, CFRE, has retired after 30 years in the fundraising profession and membership in AFP since 1991. Most recently she was a development director for St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn.
Marci B. Reed, CFRE, has been named executive director of The American Institute of Architects, Georgia Association. Reed was AIA Atlanta's first executive director from 1999 to 2000. Most recently, she was director of development for Georgia Tech's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Jolynn Reid has been named chief development officer for Pacific Clinics based in Arcadia, Calif. Previously she served as vice president for advancement at the Idyllwild Arts Foundation.
Greg Robertson, formerly chief development officer of Houston Grand Opera is now the chief advancement officer of Houston Grand Opera, leading all of the Opera's earned and contributed revenue areas as well as communications.
Michael Romo has been named vice president for advancement at Notre Dame De Namur University in Belmont, Calif. He most recently directed the Cathedral Fund for Christ the Light Cathedral Corporation in Oakland, Calif.
Kristine Ruggles recently accepted the position of executive director for Christ Clinic and Christ Kitchen in Spokane, Wash. She was previously donor relations director at the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.
Dana R. Todsen, ACFRE, is now regional vice president at Catholic Health Initiatives Foundation in Wichita, Kan. Todsen was previously president of Integris Health Foundation in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Barbara Talisman has been named vice president at The Pursuant Group. She was previously president of Talisman Associates, Inc. based in Chicago, Ill., and Washington, D.C.
M. Diane Ventresca is now director of major gifts and sponsorship with The First Tee of Greater Austin. Previously, she was director of development and communications with the American Red Cross of Central Texas.
Nancy L. Withbroe, CFRE, is now director, foundation relations at Share Our Strength, Washington, D.C. She was previously managing director of nonprofit consulting at CDR Fundraising Group, Bowie, Md.
Nicholas S. Zaharias has been appointed to the newly created position of vice President, philanthropy and marketing at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, Mass. Zaharias most recently served as director of development at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass.
