AFP Launches AFP2P—Your Exclusive Members-Only Online Community
October 11, 2011
As a fundraiser and AFP member, you are keenly aware that connections are the heart and soul of the profession. Whether it’s the relationships we make and nurture, or the expertise we gather and share, we are stronger when we come together as a community.
That is why AFP is proud to announce AFP2P - our new and exclusive online community, which allows members to interact, network and share expertise with one another through such personalized features as discussion groups, blogs and news feeds. In addition, members are able to create unique profiles, upload pictures and documents, and leave comments.
To launch AFP2P, we are created a number of inaugural groups and discussions for members to join. You can find the following now on AFP2P (and refer to the How to Use AFP2P Page should you have any questions):
- 2011 Leadership Academy – Montréal
- AFP Collegiate Chapters Group and Discussion
- AFP Young Professionals Group and Discussion
- AFP Open Forum Group and Discussion
- AFP Like-Size Chapters Groups and Discussions
- And more!
While AFP has created this social platform, its success depends on members taking an active role in nurturing and growing the community. After all, you’re the experts! We would be honored if you could invest a little time and take AFP2P for a spin, see what groups are now there, invite and encourage other members to join you, start a discussion thread, or perhaps upload a document you feel may help others. We plan to feature active groups and discussions on a regular basis in the AFP eWire newsletter, so make a splash!
Getting started on AFP2P is easy—simply click the AFP2P link at the top of the AFP homepage, or visit http://p2p.afpnet.org. Because AFP2P is a members-only benefit, you will be prompted to log in with your AFP User ID and Password. Once logged in, AFP2P will recognize you as a member and populate your profile with information from our database.
Thank you in advance for helping make AFP2P a success. We value your time and dedication to enhancing the knowledge and expertise of the fundraising community!
