Member Motion/Accolades: January 2008

(Jan. 28, 2008) AFP members are always accepting new challenges and exciting career opportunities, as well as receiving accolades for their commitment and service. Here are some job announcements, appointments, promotions and recognitions for January 2008.

Tracy Clouser, CFRE, has been named vice president of development and marketing for Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa, Fla. Previously, she was marketing manager, development, for Shriners Hospitals for Children in Tampa.

Lyndsay M. Cook is now the assistant director of development for the College of Engineering at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich. She was formerly with the House Republican Campaign Committee in Lansing, Mich.

Sandra Dolese, CFRE, is now the director of development for KCSARC (King County Sexual Assault Resource Center) in Seattle, Wash. Her previous position was as resource development director for the Arkansas-Oklahoma Division of The Salvation Army in Oklahoma City, Ok.

Jeannette Edwards is the new major and planned giving officer for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network in Allentown, Pa.  She served previously as the director of donor relations for Muhlenberg College in Allentown.

Joan Flanagan is the new fundraiser for the Center for New Community in Chicago. Previously, she was president of Joan Flanagan & Associates in Chicago.

Margaret Guellich, CFRE, has accepted a new position as director of major gifts and planned giving for the Diocese of Metuchen in Mt. Laurel, N.J. She was previously senior director of development for the American Life League in Stafford, Va.

Tim Hudson has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Ark., as director of development for the northwest Arkansas region. He was formerly executive vice president of the Ozark Guidance Foundation in Springdale, Ark.

Susan R. Logsdon, CFRE, has accepted the position of vice president of development and membership with The Frazier International History Museum in Louisville, Ky. She was previously senior counsel with her own firm, Logsdon Nonprofit Advisory, in Indianapolis, Ind.

Rose London, MBA, has been promoted to assistant vice president for individual and institutional giving at Pace University in New York City. She served previously as director of corporate and foundation relations for six years at the university.

Paula K. Minsk, CFRE, has moved to Port Discovery Children's Museum in Baltimore, Md. to become vice president of development. She was formerly senior associate director of development at the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation in Baltimore.

Ivan Price is the new executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of the Santa Clarita Valley Foundation in Newhall, Calif. He was previously president of his own consulting firm.

Kate Rattie has been promoted to vice president of advancement at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Md. She was previously the director of development with the museum.

Wendy Wong is new president and CEO of Breakfast for Learning—Canadian Living Foundation in Toronto, Ont. She served previously as the national director of resource development at the Canadian Hemophilia Society in Toronto.
