THANK YOU! AFP Canadian Council Red & White Reception a Hit at Baltimore 2015
April 15, 2015
On Sunday, March 29, 2015 in the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, two hundred Canadian fundraisers (dressed with red and white accents) assembled to meet and network with other conference attendees from across Canada. Special invited guests also included many friends from the U.S. and other countries that were attending the 2015 International Fundraising Conference.
Karen Mercier, chair of AFP's Canadian Council, reflects on the importance of this event:
"The International Fundraising Conference presented by AFP is not only important for educational and professional development, but it also provides the critical opportunity for Canadian fundraisers to network and share ideas, strategies and developments in the sector from coast to coast. In a country that is so wonderfully diverse, being able to come together in one location each year provides Canadian fundraisers with the opportunity to connect, both personally and professionally, and return to their charities with new ideas and a renewed sense of commitment to improving communities across Canada.”
The success of the Red and White Reception would not have been possible without its generous sponsors. The AFP Canadian Council thanks the following companies and organizations for their sponsorship of the event:
PWC Canada, Change It, Blakely and Millennium Logo Glove
The Development Group
Blackbaud, Good Works, Optimal Payments and DCG Philanthropic Services
