Towa Beer, formerly a senior associate manager at The Heart and Stroke Foundation in Toronto, is now a marketing and events consultant.
Linnie S. Carter, Ph.D., APR, has been named vice president of college advancement at HACC, Harrisburg Area Community College, in Harrisburg, Pa. She previously served as vice president of institutional advancement at Halifax Community College in Weldon, N.C.
Lynn Croneberger, CFRE, has been appointed chief executive officer of SOS Children's Villages – USA in Washington, D.C. Prior to this, Croneberger was vice president of development for The Wilderness Society and Reading is Fundamental in Washington, D.C.
Robert D. Driver, CFRE, has joined the consulting team at Gonser Gerber, LLP, in Naperville, Ill. Most recently, Driver served as vice president for development at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill.
Jessie Fuller Clark, senior director of advancement at Avila University in Kansas City, Mo., recently received the university’s 2012 Medal of Honor. Fuller has served on Avila University’s advancement team since 2003.
Kelly Joos has been appointed executive director of the Valley Animal Center in Fresno, Calif. She has been the Center’s director of development for the last five years.
Jackie Macha, M.Ed., has been named executive director for Strong Start in Austin, TX.
Harvey L. Massey was recently elected to the Board of Directors of The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation in Winter Park, Fla. Massey is the owner and CEO of Massey Services, Inc. in Orlando.
Patti H. McAbee is now president & CEO at Dream Big Greenville in Greenville, S.C. McAbee previously was president of Patti McAbee Consulting in Greenville, S.C.
Janet McGuire, president and CEO of the Midland Area Community Foundation in Midland, Mich., has retired as of June 1.
Deepa Naik is now associate consultant with Capstone Advancement Partners in Charlotte, N.C. Naik previously was donor relations coordinator for United Family Services in Charlotte, N.C.
Sean O'Connor has been named senior vice president at Development Guild in New York. Most recently, O’Connor served as vice president for special giving at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
Geoff Peters, president of CDR Fundraising Group in Bowie, Md., has been recognized by FundRaising Success magazine with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Bill Pratt, CFRE, now serves as executive director of Regina Palliative Care Inc. in Regina, Saskatoon, Canada. He was previously executive director at Shelter Nova Scotia in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Eugene R. Tempel, CFRE, EDD, will be returning to the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., as a senior fellow. Tempel previously served four years as president at the Indiana University Foundation there.
Judyth Wier has been appointed vice president for Institutional Advancement at Cottey College in Nevada, Mo.
Robin Zanotti, ACFRE, president, Zanotti Nonprofit Solutions, LLC, has accepted the position of director of development for West Virginia University Hospitals-East, Martinsburg, W.Va. She will continue her work with nonprofit clients through her consulting practice.
Sharon K. Zislis is now director of development at the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund in Ambler, Pa. Zislis previously served as director of development at Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. in Phoenixville, Pa.
