New Chapter Formed In British Columbia
April 8, 2014
At the most recent AFP board meeting in San Antonio, the newest AFP chapter in Canada was chartered: the British Columbia, Okanagan Chapter.
The chapter is centered in Kelowna, British Columbia, and its first president will be Chantelle Funk, development officer, special events, for the BC Cancer Foundation.
“Creating an AFP Chapter in the Okanagan has already proven to be a great support network of local nonprofits,” said Funk. “The increase in communications between charities—as well as in our own professional development—is not only supporting our organizations’ fundraising efforts, but increasing the spirit of philanthropy overall in our community. Thank you to our charter members and a fantastic chapter board!”
The Okanagan Chapter is the 17th AFP chapter in Canada.
