AFP International Distinguished Fellows Program
April 12, 2018
AFP membership has grown and now exceeds 33,000 individual members and over 1,500 non-profit organizational members. In order to serve the needs of members and the global fundraising community, AFP strives to maximize the benefit of the talent, networks and experience of its senior leaders. AFP developed a recognition program to highlight the areas where engagement with senior leaders could be most effective and the functional areas that might support the chapters as speakers and/or mentors.
The selection committee is comprised of the Immediate Past Chairs of the four AFP Boards as co-chairs from the AFP Board, AFP US Foundation for Philanthropy, Canada Foundation Board and the AFP Canada Board, and the Alternates to the AFP Committee on Directorship which provides geographic representation.
AFP has taken into consideration the concerns from other chapters who are currently using a Fellows Program and have spoken to each of the chapters to ensure that their programs are not confused with the AFP International Distinguished Fellows Program.
We are now accepting nominations for our third class of Distinguished Fellows to be recognized at the April 2019 International Fundraising Conference.
Designation bestowed would be “FAFP” or “HonFAFP”. You will find additional information in the brochure (below) which provides you with the criteria for the nomination, the Fellow’s recognition and ongoing engagement.
