AFP Toronto Chapter Celebrates 20th Anniversary Milestone
December 8, 2014
2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter, a milestone that has been celebrated throughout the year. Along the way it was noted that the year 2014 also represents a significant milestone for Cynthia Quigley, a dedicated champion of AFP Toronto and its mandate since the very start.
Cynthia is the director of Canadian services for AFP and the Greater Toronto Chapter. Anyone who knows Cynthia understands the key role she has played in building the chapter's membership program and educational properties. These initiatives have had an impact, not only within the local chapter region but far beyond, attracting participants from across Canada and internationally. Cynthia has also contributed to the development of the AFP Canada Council and AFP Foundation for Philanthropy-Canada, while giving generously of her time, skills, energy and good humour.
In honour of Cynthia's 20 years of involvement, the AFP Toronto Chapter has established a bursary fund with the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy-Canada in her name. Cynthia was absolutely surprised and delighted with the announcement of its establishment, and the chapter will now work with her to determine the criteria for allocation.
We are thrilled to be able to recognize Cynthia's hard work and dedication in this way, and we appreciate all the generous support we received to make this bursary possible.
