Welcome! AFP is committed to engaging young professionals and youth exploring philanthropy and building their fundraising careers. AFP recognizes the importance of outreach to young professionals in order to assure that effective and ethical fundraising is practiced well into the future.
Serving Young Professionals
In order to serve our young professionals, men and women 30 and under working in development, AFP created the Next Generation Committee. The goal of the Next Generation Committee is to seek ways to engage, serve and support young professionals to help you be successful, develop your careers and become active in AFP.
With input from our young colleagues, the committee is focused on:
- Building web resources for young professionals
- Developing a social media site
- Creating Mentoring and Career Development tools
- Strengthening understanding of the profession and AFP’s ethical standards
- Ensuring appropriate activities for young professionals at AFP’s International Conference
- Increasing the value and relevance of AFP membership for young professionals
Come back often to check out new resources that have been added. And if you have questions, would like information, are interested in joining the committee or just have feedback, please email email@example.com and someone from the committee will be happy to talk with you.
