Canada is a Ten Star Country!
(Mar. 20, 2012) The Ten Star Award honours those chapters who have accomplished many of the key objectives outlined in the AFP Strategic Plan. The award encourages chapters to perform specific activities that increases professionalism in fundraising, while promoting public awareness of philanthropy.
During the AFP Canadian Leadership Retreat that was held in 2009, chapter leaders from across the country decided that as a way to recognize Andrea McManus, CFRE as the first Canadian AFP Chair of the Board, all chapters would strive to become Ten Star Chapters. In 2011, all Canadian Chapters completed the ten star requirements, making Canada a Ten Star country!
