Submit a nomination for AFP’s Award for Outstanding Fundraising Professional
Commitment to the profession and impact through service – that’s what we’re looking for in our 2014 Outstanding Fundraising Professional.
AFP’s annual awards program recognizes extraordinary achievement in fundraising and philanthropy, and we’re continuing that tradition with the 2014 Award for Outstanding Fundraising Professional.
This award honors fundraisers who have excelled in every aspect of the profession: developing new programs, introducing innovative ideas, significantly increasing returns on investments and advancing ethical fundraising. Award recipients also have made an incredible impact on the fundraising profession by mentoring and supporting continued professional development.
Nominees must have a minimum of 15 years of experience as a professional fundraiser and they must be a current AFP member. Nominees must also have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the fundraising profession through their service to the causes they’ve represented, as well as to AFP and the fundraising community.
Previous recipients of the Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award include Sue Williamson, CFRE, Little Rock, Ark.; Claudia Looney, FAHP, CFRE, Los Angeles, Calif.; and last year’s honoree, Martha Taylor, Madison, Wisc.
Nominations should be submitted through AFP’s online nomination form found here.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
The individual selected will receive their honor at the 2014 AFP International Conference on Fundraising in San Antonio. Honorees must be present to receive the award. The AFP Awards Committee will select the Outstanding Fundraising Professional honoree.
