Awards Celebration to be held in San Diego – Submit Your Nominations Today!
As announced recently, AFP’s awards program is being revamped and the new program will now be launched in 2014 to coincide with National Philanthropy Day®. We want you to be able to continue to nominate your local honorees for the international awards, so we will be hosting the Celebration of Philanthropy at the 2013 International Conference on Fundraising in San Diego. Send us your best and brightest today!
The nomination period for the 2013 awards will begin October 15 and end November 30. For complete details and forms, as well as all required guidelines and procedures, please read and reference the 2012 Awards for Philanthropy booklet.
Nomination materials are available and the award categories include (click on each to access that respective nomination form):
- Award for Outstanding Philanthropist
- Award for Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
- Award for Outstanding Corporation
- Award for Outstanding Foundation
- Award for Outstanding Fundraising Professional
- William R. Simms Award for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, Individual
- William R. Simms Award for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, Group
These are the seven honors that have been given at our awards presentations in the past. Note that the youth award has changed. Instead of two categories divided by age, there is now a youth individual category and a youth group category. Otherwise, most of the criteria for each award is the same, or has been slightly modified. Also, submitting an award nomination is not a requirement for the 2012 Chapter Ten Star Award, though all chapters are strongly encouraged to submit nominations.
For more details, see the complete 2012 Awards for Philanthropy booklet. Questions can be sent to NaTanya Lott at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing your award nominations soon!
